Helping YOU first
Our experience and education enable us to offer immediate, short-term, individualized, mental health and well-being Psychological Triage Counseling. We counsel with compassion and concern while focusing on helping you navigate through your pain, panic, and/or discomfort. Learn to grow beyond your stress and develop skills that will assist you in becoming resilient to further disturbances. We focus on a nurturing, healing process-empowering you or your child/teen to move forward in life.
Our focus is to help individuals heal quickly, re-energize, and be reminded of their inner strengths. We work with you to be efficient in how you perceive reality, encourage you to regain a renewed appreciation for life and ensure you are able to express your emotions freely and clearly. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space-listening to your fears, doubts, and concerns-which enables us to assess your needs and encourage your ability to return to the productive functioning you previously enjoyed.
Psychological Triage Specialists play an active role in your swift recovery and healing. Psychological crisis intervention is superior to multi-session psychotherapy post-disaster for reducing acute stress. We promise to be here for you in your time of need. Our goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, utilize tools and skills to cope, and move forward in your life connecting you to invaluable resources or offering referrals when needed for additional support.
Are you experiencing Pandemic Pressure?
When policymakers across the country decided to “lockdown” in response to the 2020 outbreak of the novel coronavirus, they took a leap into the unknown. They knew almost nothing about how shutting down nearly all of society would affect people. In the year since we’ve seen many dire consequences stem from the unprecedented shutdown of society:
1. Massive Spikes in Suicide Rates and Mental Health Crises
2. Uptick in Drug Overdoses and Substance Abuse
3. Job Loss and Economic Devastation
4. Surge in Domestic Violence
5. Increased health issues, including high blood pressure
Use the chart above to analyze how you feel you are coping with these lockdowns. If you have a teen, friend, family member, or an elderly person in your life you suspect is not coping well, discuss with them how they feel they are coping and reach out to us so we can help.
Since the first coronavirus case was confirmed in the United States more than a year ago, the number of people in need of mental health services has surged. But many say that they are languishing on waiting lists, making call after call only to be turned away, with affordable options tough to find. Providers, who have long been in short supply, are stretched thin. According to an American Psychological Association poll of nearly 1,800 psychologists published in November, 74 percent said they were seeing more patients with anxiety disorders compared with before the pandemic, and 60 percent said they were seeing more patients with depressive disorders.
Mental Health & Wellness Group came to fruition at the start of the politically motivated COVID-19 Pandemic which created pressure, stress, anxiety, and eventually depression in the hearts and minds of millions of people worldwide. With the ever-changing mandates, a plethora of media misinformation, political uncertainty, and mandated medical guidelines, many people just like you are experiencing difficulties maintaining structure, responsibilities, and daily routines-oftentimes-perceiving inexplainable, emotional symptoms, and in many cases, casting doubt on their spiritual capacity. We put a call into action and created a safe, trusting, confidential way for those struggling to find support, as well as ways to cope and rebuild their health and emotional well-being. Call or book an appointment online with a Psychological Triage Specialist who can listen, observe, and help prepare you for the next steps, preparing your heart and mind for a healthier, happier you. 45-minute Tele-counseling video sessions are available by phone or online from the comfort of your own space.
